AQUATHERAPY

Aquatic therapy is the process of working with patients to either actively or passively rehabilitate musculoskeletal, neurological, and even cardiopulmonary conditions. Aquatherapy uses the aquatic environment as the primary medium. The temperature of the water is an important factor and many techniques and a variety of interventions towards decreasing limitations and pain will be utilized. That restoring will work function. It is a specialized area requiring skill in the application of problem-specific interventions and modalities.

WATSU® Aquatic & Bodywork Therapy

Watsu is a gentle form of therapy whereby the patient floats in warm water, cradled by the Watsu therapist who works the spine, joints, and muscles through specific stretches, rocking, and rhythmical movements.
Interspersed and flowing is a stillness that encourages the release of tightness, tension, and stress. WATSU with Watsu modality is a wonderful therapy that complements land-based physiotherapy for those with cerebral palsy, other disorders or syndromes. It has also shown effective results with autism and in able-bodied children and adults.

HALLIWICK

Halliwick aims are to teach water happiness, pool safety, and swimming, and to encourage people with disabilities to use the water. Hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, and body dynamics are all used in the concept
The major purpose is to stimulate involvement in water activities, autonomous mobility, and swimming instruction. The concept encompasses mental and physical water adaptation, as well as relaxation, breathing control, balance, and the acquisition of basic motor abilities in the water
